Swore. New premises for the ARS, an agency “listening to the needs of Jura residents”

Previously located on rue des écoles in Lons-le-Saunier, the territorial management of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Regional Health Agency (ARS) in Jura has moved. From now on, the people distributed in the different services of the Jura branch share common premises with Urssaf, rue François-Bussenet, still in Lons-le-Saunier. This Wednesday, April 3, the employees were gathered for the inauguration of the new premises. The opportunity for Jean-Jacques Coiplet, general director of the ARS, to recall that the agency is a place “of proximity that listens to the needs of the Jura residents. It is public service in its noblest conception.”

Several services combined

In all, there are 21 of them working in these offices, “much more functional”, welcomes Ghislaine Wanwanscappel, the territorial director. The employees are distributed within different departments: “nine in the territorial management, seven in Environmental Health and five who work here but are attached to headquarters”.

Varied missions

The ARS is not really intended to receive the public, even if that may be the case. On the other hand, the agency is competent in several areas and is a key interlocutor in many files. “Everything that concerns community medicine, the hospital offer of the entire department, whether public or private establishments. But also the medico-social, or even the health and prevention aspects,” explains Ghislaine Wanwanscappel.
