‘Organ donation’ call from Health Minister Koca
Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca made a statement on the X account on the occasion of “Organ and Tissue Donation Week”.
Minister of Health Fahrettin KocaStating that an average of 2 thousand people die due to brain death every year in Turkey, he said, “Those who have no choice but organ transplantation for treatment are always on the verge of death. “If you donate the organs of your brain-dead relative by making the decision you make as a family, you will ensure that he or she becomes a source of life.” he said.
Minister Koca noted the following in his post on his social media account on the occasion of November 3-9 Organ Donation Week:
-In our country, an average of 2 thousand people die of brain death every year. Those who have no choice but organ transplantation for treatment are on the verge of death at any moment.
-If you decide to donate the organs of your brain-dead relative by making the decision as a family, you will ensure that he/she becomes a source of life.
-You can save one, maybe multiple people from death even when you are no longer alive. The only way to do this is to become an organ donor. Make this decision.
