“Margot for life”: they want to build a house for sick children without a diagnosis

“Margot still has no diagnosis, she is like a sick child experiencing an unknown illness. » Bruno Thiroux, the stepfather of the 14-year-old girl, now cared for in a medical-educational institute (IME) in Châlons-en-Champagne, has been fighting for years alongside his wife Emmanuelle to help him to live, even to survive. Since 2018, they created Margot pour la Vie to raise funds to help other families waiting, like them, for a medical diagnosis.
The association now has more than 200 members and supports dozens of parents in France. “We give a financial boost to certain children suffering from rare diseases. But we have to make a selection because we don’t have the means to help everyone,” regrets Bruno Thiroux. The couple is therefore planning to create a center for children without a diagnosis in the Grand Est. This would be a first in France, because no establishment of this type exists.
“We want to open a structure bringing together an IME and a pediatric rehabilitation center. In Margot’s case this would be really appropriate because her health is deteriorating physically. But this project is ambitious because the investment amounts to nearly 5 million euros. » To achieve this objective and move the lines, Emmanuelle and Bruno Thiroux are counting on patronage but also on flagship actions.
The next one will take place on Friday December 1st at the Cirque de Reims. An auction of street art works will be organized. “We need to have visibility and we wanted to put on a real show around this auction, with the presence of sports journalist Alexandre Delpérier and our godmother, the singer Gustine from Reims. »
Gustine (ex-The Voice) on stage
The former finalist of The Voice in 2020, will perform on the Cirque stage at the close of the auction. An event which could bring in more than €20,000 for the association. Céz’ArtIemza, Ksy Boomkies, Christine Sejean, Mat x Zekky, Florence Kutten and many other artists have agreed to offer one or more works to raise funds for the Margot pour la Vie association.
Next month, the starred chef of Domaine les Crayères, Philippe Mille will also mobilize for sick children. He is going to concoct a soup for the benefit of the Margot pour la Vie association. It will be sold on Saturday December 9, in his presence, in the Halles Boulingrin in Reims. Last year, more than €3,000 was raised during this action.
