HCL deploys its attractiveness and loyalty plan

Faced with recruitment difficulties, the Hospices Civils de Lyon have launched, since the summer of 2023, a plan in favor of the attractiveness and loyalty of professionals, which has triggered “a promising recruitment dynamic” with 750 nurses recruited in 2023 (+15% in 1 year) and 117 doctors (+18%), indicate the HCL in a press release.

A battery of measures

Among the measures put in place: the site teamhcl.chu-lyon.fr to present the different professions with an online application management interface; new time models; an investment in continuing training; collective commitment bonuses for team projects, etc.

These “commitments” are presented in the poster campaign “Here, I can” (visible in Lyon from March 18 to April 10) through the story of 7 HCL professionals who have “climbed the ranks” or manage to reconcile work, family life and hobbies.

In April 2023, a “Tell me about HCL” survey was launched among 24,000 agents (response rate 27.5%). 75% of respondents declared themselves proud to work at HCL, in particular because of their belonging to the public service and the level of expertise and competence of the CHU services.

But 95% of them felt affected by recruitment difficulties, generating additional work and “a feeling of lower quality of work”. If 64% of professionals still planned to work at HCL beyond 5 years, only a quarter of them were considering a full career there.
