Be careful if you made your purchases in a supermarket or hypermarket Casinoa convenience store Vival, Spar or one of Casino distribution networks recently: several prepared meals from the distributor brand have been recalled throughout France due to chemical contamination, we can read on the site Consumption reminder.

These are traces of descaling product found inside. It is advisable toe no longer consume the product, to rbring it to the point of sale or destroy it. In all cases a refund will be made. A special number has been set up: 0 800 13 30 16.

The products concerned are as follows:

  • Grated carrots 300 g Casino (GTIN 3222477061255, lot 330001, use-by date 11/14/2023);
  • Celery remoulade 300 g Casino (GTIN 3222477061279, lot 330001, use-by date 11/14/2023);
  • Mixed vegetables 300 g Casino (GTIN 3222477059702, lot 330001, use-by date 12/11/2023);
  • Grated carrots in one kilo Casino tray (GTIN 3222477059603, lot 330001, use-by date 11/14/2023).

The recall procedure will remain in force until November 19.

But the Casino brand is not the only one to be affected by this recall. Several products were also affected by this chemical contamination:

  • Celery remoulade 300 g private label Monoprix (GTIN 3350030181048, batch 330001, use-by date 11/14/2023);
  • Grated carrots 300 g from Monoprix (GTIN 3350030181031, lot 330301, use-by date 11/17/2023);
  • Grated carrots in sauce from Organic Farming, Nature Bio brand 200 g sold in supermarkets Match (band Cora) (GTIN 3257981941090, batch 330301, use-by date 11/15/2023).

Monoprix has also set up a special number: 0 800 08 40 00. The recall procedure will remain in force until November 15.

Please note that other products are affected:

  • Catering quality oriental tabbouleh in 200 g trays sold in large and medium-sized supermarkets is also affected (GTIN 3181580276102, lot 330001, use-by date 12/11/2023);
  • Red beets in 1.5 kilo tray (GTIN 318158027697, lot 3330001, use-by date 11/14/2023);
  • Bio villages brand vegetable tabbouleh in 200 g format sold in stores E.Leclerc (GTIN 3564707082129, lot 330001, use-by date 11/12/2023);
  • Niçoise salad in a 2.5 kilo caterer box tray (GTIN 3181580106607, lot 330001, use-by date 11/12/2023) sold in the cut section of supermarkets and hypermarkets throughout France;
  • Mini penne with tomato in 1.5 kg plastic tray (GTIN 3181580276799, lot 330001, use-by date 12/11/2023);
  • Unbranded bites of the queen sold in the cut section of supermarkets and hypermarkets throughout France (GTIN 3181580278021, lot 330001, use-by date 07/11/2023).
