at Part-Dieu, an Asian restaurant closed until further notice

The Asian restaurant “Buffet Wok Sushi Grill”, located at 129, avenue Félix Faure (Lyon 3rd), is the subject of a administrative closure by prefectural decree , since March 4. A closure until further notice or at least until corrective measures are put in place.

It must be said that in this “modern restaurant with elegant touches offering buffets of international dishes with sushi and grilled meats”, according to the description of the establishment, agents of the Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations of the Rhône (DDPPR ) had things to say. Their inspection revealed nine serious breaches of hygiene rules.

Risks of poisoning

Among them, “the presence of rat droppings in the commissary”, the absence of cleaning of the premises, the preservation at room temperature of foodstuffs, poor storage conditions, the absence of traceability or even the “lack of knowledge of the correct hygiene practices. So many elements which constitute a “significant threat to the health of consumers”, in terms of risks of poisoning.

An effective pest control plan

In total, no less than forty-six corrective measures were ordered to consider reopening the restaurant. For this, it will be necessary to put in place “an effective pest control plan” “clean, degrease and disinfect equipment”, “protect bare foodstuffs in refrigerated enclosures”, or even “have all staff undergo hygiene training with a qualified service provider”.

Contacted by Le Progrès, the restaurant did not respond.
